Mother of the Bride Make-up*

When I am speaking to brides a very common question is ‘Can you do a natural make-up for my mum? She doesn’t wear a lot of make up and doesn’t want to feel too over the top’.

Whoever sits in front of me gets a mini consultation before I start. I ask about skin types, sensitivities to products as well as what make up they wear and how they would like to have their make up done. I am not a mind reader! I would not assume someone likes red lipstick or brown eyeshadow, for example.

I tailor each look to suit my clients facial features as well as their wishes for the final look, taking into account their outfit, hair styling and personal style.

A lot of ladies are concerned that a full glam make-up will be pushed onto them…absolutely not!! (unless that is the look they like, then I’m here for it!!)

Sometimes just a touch of definition around the eyes, skin make-up with heavier coverage only where it’s needed, and healthy glow from a flattering blush colour and complimenting lip shade are enough to give that ‘wow!’ factor and give a huge boost of confidence on the special day.
